Designer Lights by Metalarte

The foundations of Metalarte originate in pre-WW2 Barcelona where the Cortes family had established a small metal working business to serve local production needs. Antonio Riera Cortes, the son of the founder, took the lead in the sixties and steered the company towards a future based wholly on the production of high quality light fittings. Many of their early fittings used their extensive knowledge of metal working to good effect and soon designers looked towards Metalarte’s expertise to realise their designs. George W. Hansen commissioned Metalarte to produce his iconic post-war Swinging Arm Lamp – now a firm favourite in their Hansen Collection.
