222 Wall and Ceiling Lamp - Black
Designer:
Bernard-Albin Gras
The Lampe Gras 222 wall light. Bernard-Albin Gras designed a series of lamps in 1921 for use in offices and industrial environments. The Gras lamp as it was soon to be known was astounding in its simple design, there are neither screws nor welded joints in its basic form. Le Corbusier was seduced by the modern design and the user friendliness of the lamps, he became one of Bernard Albin Gras‘s most enthusiastic supporters. The No.222 is a compact wall/ceiling fixed version of the No.205. The reduced footprint bracket is especially shaped to fix the luminaire with security.
