The Cage Mic sospensione lamp, by Diesel, is modelled on the industrial lamps used by the likes of miners, where the light source is caged to protect it from a harsh environment while giving all round illumination. In this lamp the cage becomes the decorative element along with blown glass elements, and using colour to further enliven the look. When switched off the colours are strong and full, and the design of the cage is reflected on the shiny surface.
